Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven
IRDAI Certified Agriculture Insurance Broker
to provide advisory and brokerage services in agricultural insurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding the insurance needs of farmers, agribusinesses, and stakeholders, recommending suitable policies, and facilitating claims settlement. This role requires expertise in risk assessment, knowledge of agricultural practices, and familiarity with insurance products tailored to the agriculture sector.

MaharashtraEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Insurance, or a related field.Certifications such as IRDAI-approved Broker’s License or relevant training in insurance broking.Experience:Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in insurance brokerage, preferably in the agriculture sector.Proven track record of advising clients and facilitating claims settlement in agricultural insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Advisory and Policy Selection:Provide independent advice to farmers, agribusinesses, and cooperatives regarding suitable insurance products.Recommend crop, livestock, and farm equipment insurance policies based on risk assessments and client needs.
Risk Assessment and Management:Conduct detailed risk assessments for clients, considering factors such as climate, pest exposure, and market fluctuations.Recommend mitigation strategies and appropriate insurance coverage for identified risks.
Policy Management:Facilitate the application process for agricultural insurance, ensuring compliance with IRDAI regulations.Maintain accurate records of all policies, claims, and transactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
Claims Assistance:Assist clients in filing claims and ensure smooth and timely claims settlement.Act as a liaison between the insurer and the client to resolve disputes and clarify policy terms.
Market Research:Conduct market research to identify competitive insurance products and innovative solutions for agricultural risks.Maintain strong relationships with multiple insurers to provide clients with a variety of options.
Regulatory Compliance:Ensure compliance with all IRDAI regulations, including maintaining adequate solvency levels and financial reporting.Renew licenses and professional indemnity insurance as required.

Technical Skills:Strong understanding of agriculture insurance products, such as crop, livestock, and weather-index insurance.Proficiency in tools and systems for risk assessment and policy management.
Soft Skills:Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with farmers and stakeholders.Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple clients effectively.
