Patient Assessment and evaluation

  • Evaluate the stability of the patient with assessment of need for immediate interventions, mitigating the immediate risks.
  • Using effective history taking and examination techniques to determine the likely differential diagnosis ,
  • Order relevant investigations
  • Start preliminary treatment accordingly

Management of emergencies in the Triage and ICU beds

  • Hemodynamic Management : Recognition & management of hypotensive and hypertensive emergencies
  • Recognition and resuscitative measures for cardiorespiratory arrest

  • Making a sound clinical diagnosis based on history ,examination ,lab and radiology results
  • Recognizing the abnormalities in results and their implications
  • Discussing the procedure with its benefits ,related risks /complication and alternative treatment with the patient and /family
  • Ensuring a written ,informed consent be signed by the patient preoperatively
  • Appropriate preoperative preparation ordered
  • Site Marking ensured
  • Cross consultation if needed to be informed
