What are we solving for in the End Ultra Poverty program?
End Ultra Poverty (EUP) program is solving for households in ultra-poverty through a targeted, multi-faceted and sequenced model called the Graduation Approach which has demonstrated that ultra-poverty can be conquered.
At The/Nudge we have been piloting this program for the past 3 years and are in the process of catalyzing propagation of the same. Our purpose is to contribute to ending ultra-poverty in India. EUP will:continue to implement on its own to iterate the design for impact at scale
enable more NGOs to adopt technical and capacity-building support
enable govt to adopt by providing research, design, and implementation support
continue to generate data on ultra-poverty and evidence on graduation approach to nudge governments to adopt at scale
build technology solutions for NGOs and governments to adopt and implement at scale & with quality.
About the role
As part of our partnership with the government on the EUP program, The/Nudge Institute has been given the mandate to build out a tech product to enable the implementation of the Graduation Approach; in conjunction with the National & State Rural Livelihood Missions (NRLM/ SRLMs). You will play a pivotal role in building this
first-of-its-kind tech product
intended for use in Graduation Approach programs across the country.
In this role, you will:
Design and implement large scale simulations and load tests to test the system’s reliability and scalability
Coordinate with tech product ops to design and perform field tests to assess system performance in remote environments
Work with team members to implement quality monitoring/ observability of the tech system
Perform ongoing manual testing of tech product releases before rollout to ensure they meet the required quality standard
Work closely with the development team to test intermediate releases within a sprint to ensure sprint deliverables are of expected quality

are willing to make periodic field visits to understand the program and the users for whom the tech product is being built
work with a high level of rigor
have 3-6 years of work experience in development, testing or reliability engineering:Experience performing large scale load tests and simulations and working with related software (and/or)
Experience performing manual testing as part of development teams (and/or)
Experience implementing system monitoring for observability and working with related software
have the ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous startup environment (bias for action and curiosity to learn)
