We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Salesforce Release Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for enabling seamless, reliable, and efficient Salesforce deployments using modern DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience with source-driven deployments, automation scripting, and CI/CD processes. You should be capable of working independently, especially in scenarios with minimal tooling, and bring a strong foundation in DevOps that predates the AI boom

Location -Hybrid- Pune/Ranchi/Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee end-to-end Salesforce release and deployment processes across multiple environments.
  • Implement and maintain Source-Driven Deployment practices using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
  • Administer and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for automated deployments.
  • Handle Salesforce Metadata Deployments , ensuring accuracy and consistency across orgs.
  • Create, manage, and deploy Salesforce 1GP and 2GP packages , with clear understanding of managed and unmanaged packages.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python , YAML , or Bash (preference for YAML or Python) to streamline deployments.
  • Define and enforce quality gates throughout the release cycle to ensure robust, error-free deployments.
  • Collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to coordinate release timelines with minimal business disruption.
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues promptly and provide clear documentation with root cause analysis.
  • Advocate and implement Salesforce DevOps best practices , including version control, branching strategies, and automated testing.
  • Work confidently with both GitHub and GitLab for managing source control and CI/CD workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce DevOps or Release Management roles.
  • Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or Source-Driven Deployment frameworks.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipeline management using GitLab .
  • Proficient in Salesforce Metadata deployment tools: Salesforce CLI , Metadata API , ANT , etc.
  • Proven experience in building and deploying 1GP and 2GP Salesforce packages .
  • Strong scripting skills in Python , YAML , or Bash (preference for YAML or Python).
  • Ability to implement and manage quality controls within deployment workflows.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; experience working in cross-functional hybrid teams .
