About the Role

We're looking for a sharp, intuitive Creative Strategist who can lead the charge on video-first storytelling at Mahina. This role is not just about content creation - it's about crafting idea-led video narratives that perform. From scripting and planning across our digital channels, you'll be at the intersection of creative thinking and hands-on production. Whether it's a campaign, a scroll-stopping reel, or a brand explainer, you'll bring the vision to life - start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:


Strategy to Screen

  • Own end-to-end video projects - from insight-based ideation and scripting to shoot planning, direction, and final delivery.
  • Develop sharp, strategic video ideas for Instagram, YouTube, and Linkedin.
  • Create content that ladders up to business, channel and campaign goals, not just trends.

Creative Development

  • Lead video brainstorming sessions with internal teams
  • Write clear, compelling, platform-specific scripts and copies for Reels, explainers, creator/influencer-led videos, brand storytelling, and cross-channel applications.
  • Shape each idea into a visually distinctive and tonally on-brand output.


Production Ownership

  • Confidently lead or self-execute video shoots - whether it's a solo UGC-style shoot or a more structured in-house shoot.
  • Plan shoots with minimal setups, balancing resourcefulness and quality.
  • Ensure crisp visual output through smart framing, lighting, and sound.


Execution & Edit Supervision

  • Basic understanding of tools like CapCut, iMovie, or Adobe Premiere Pro, along with a good storytelling instinct. You won't be alone - you'll work alongside in-house editors and design experts.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external freelancers/agencies on more complex edits and execution.
  • Follow a flexible process where key video elements (hooks, transitions, voiceovers, product shots, CTAs) are created as reusable assets, making it easier to build, remix, and scale content across formats.
  • Every video is to be crafted with platform-specific behavior in mind, ensuring it feels native to wherever it's posted.

Our Must-Haves

2–4 years' experience in
video-led creative or content strategy roles

Strong
video ideation + scripting + execution chops

Deep understanding of
short-form video formats
and social-first storytelling.

Confident using AI tools and experimenting with new creative workflows.

Comfort with iPhone shoots and solo content capture (no fancy gear needed).

Great command of
English
- spoken, written, and camera delivery when required.

Self-starter attitude with a sharp creative eye and proactive ownership.
