  • Create engineering concepts for High Voltage Systems, for reduced losses and enhanced Safety.
  • Define requirements and specifications for HV Safety Systems.
  • Define High Voltage Architecture of eVehicle.
  • Define grounding and fusing concepts.
  • Understanding of Functional Safety (ISO26262), defining Safety goals, HARA, ASIL ratings, etc.
  • Design and development of HV Safety Systems, Architecture and relevant eComponents as per Cost, Quality and Timeline targets for all projects and PoCs.
  • Define testing and release from system to Hardware-in-Loop.
  • Safety Assessment at system and vehicle-level.
  • Create technology road map for HV Safety Systems.


Deep knowledge and understanding of:

  • HV Battery, BMS, Motor, Inverters, Power Distribution Unit and other eComponents of an Electric Vehicle
  • Monitoring of Current, Voltage, Temperature, SoC, SoH, Life cycles
  • Charging rate, Discharge rate, Isolation and Insulation Monitoring
  • String configuration and HV cables and LV connection to eComponents
  • Cell balancing
  • Thermal management
  • Fault diagnosis
  • Communication protocol
  • Hardware-in-Loop (HIL)
  • Charging management.
  • Prepare / check drawings and setup DMU, wherever required


  • Prepare and review design, FMEA and DVP
  • Resolve issues during proto-build, testing, development, production and field issues with proper root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions, through problem-solving techniques
  • Facilitate variant reduction and cost reduction by generating ideas and ensure implementation
  • Generate innovative ideas of filing patents and implement in production
  • Co-ordination with cross-functional teams
  • Prepare effective presentations to ensure clear information / communication to management and peers



Technical Skill Set Required:

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of High Voltage Systems.
  • Hands on knowledge of High Voltage Safety and Architecture
  • Hands on experience on eComponent installation
  • Deep understanding and experience of testing at component, system and vehicle-level
  • Hands-on experience in DFMEA, DVP and 8D
  • Good experience in AIS standards, safety standards and other standards across the globe
  • Basic understanding of Functional Safety (ISO26262)
  • Expertise in UG-NX with hands-on experience in 3D and 2D along with GD&T
  • Understanding of Commercial Vehicle Development process
  • Hands-on experience in Electric Vehicle


Soft Skills Required

  • Capable of and experienced in leading a small team
  • Good communication, interpersonal and co-ordination skills
  • Very good skill in explaining technical concepts in power-point presentations
  • Good team-player
  • Curious to learn and passionate to achieve
  • Extremely customer focused


Qualifications:


Mechanical Engineering/ Automobile Engineering / Equivalent Degree.


Professional Experience:


6-12 years of experience in relevant industry (Commercial vehicle industry preferable).
