The candidate will provide and assume responsibility for proposal activities, basic process designs, budgetary and final proposals within an assigned region, as well as periodic support for other Commercial Engineers within the group.Objective

:Lead and Co-ordinate all ES project related Proposal / bid phase activities for specific regionSuccessful and productive collaboration with the sales team in development ofopportunities and hence drive business growth.Establishing a strong internal network to enhance successful collaboration with allinternal functions that are involved in a ES project all the way from proposal (ITO-Inquiry to Order) to execution- OTR(Order to Remittance)Roles and responsibilitiesTimely preparation of budgetary and final proposals for simple and complex projects with multiple water and waste water treatment technologiesWork with Process engineers to develop process designs bringing value to customerGenerate/Coordinate Process & Instrumentation Diagrams and General Arrangement DrawingsApply costing and process design strategies to position the company in the earlystages of project development and to increase probability & successAdhering to all internal procedures related to bid preparation, proposal tracking,authorization of Order Packages and sales forecasting.Support development and closure of key deals to maximize revenue generationSupport Sales teams to properly structure a deal and optimize profitability through a thorough understanding of the project life cycle costs and financing requirements where applicableSupport Sales teams to structure deals to combine equipment, services and specialty chemicals and clearly develop & communicate value propositions for each Projects offeringSupport Sales teams in the continuous development and/or fine tuning of country specific business plans and market research.Experience in costing / proposals for multi-process extended scope water & wastewater treatment solutionsEssential Technical Responsibilities / ExpectationsMust Have RequirementsAble to plan and formulate proposal Engineering deliverables in water or waste water Industry Processes and Products. Relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering or equipment supply is a must.Able to understand water chemistry , identify red flags, to be able to select unit operations and design conventional as well modern pretreatment like ultrafiltration, Design RO system for various water and waste water applications, design biological system , understanding of thermal evaporator system .Knowledge of Filtration, Ion Exchange, Membrane Separation Technologies and Membrane Process Equipment and the experience in running RO / EDI projections, Filtration System dosing/chemical injection calculationsAble to review Tender electromechanical specifications, Engineering design standards, Proposal Playbook, safety and customer contract requirements and come up with right process and product selection.Able to develop Process Description, Process Calculations, PFD, PID, LayoutsAble to develop Capex, Opex, O&M, ROI calculations to optimise the Process, schedule and cost of the project while ensuring feasibility of execution.Knowledge on Materials / Metallurgy on metallic and nonmetallic Pumps, valves, Equipments, pipes and fittingsAble to prioritise bids or multiple activities and work independentlyAble to interface with customer’s technical representatives and Veolia Lead Engineers, Sourcing, Finance with minimal Proposal Manager interventionGood to Have RequirementsExperience in developing waste and water treatment proposals for F&B industry including membrane systems, thermal ZLD systems or UPW treatment in semiconductor industry will be of added advantage.Experience working on international projects utilising exceptional communication, interpersonal skills.Able to conduct global design reviewsKnowledge on Design tools, International codes and standards - ASME, DIN, EN, IS, BS, AS etc.,Knowledge on Electrical, Instrumentation and control systems applicable for water and waste water Schemes and ProductsBehaviouralAble to Practice Consistently Organizational Core Values· Good communication and interpersonal skills.· Ability to work on own initiative and independently.· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.· Goal oriented with Speed to Yes attitude· Team player.Applied KnowledgeThe Individual has a proven track record of successfully managing medium and high-risk projects/tasks. Their expertise in this area is indispensable, guaranteeing that all design decisions are methodically scrutinized prior to any final selection.The Individual demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of various functions and processes and possess the ability to effectively ensure adherence to all project and contract requirements..Leadership QualitiesThe Individual possessess the ability to comprehend the priorities of customers and work in conjunction with team members to ensure that their expectations are met.Qualification/ Desired characteristics1. Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering or other technical discipline2. Minimum 12 years of Proposal / Tender Engineering experience.3. Experience / Exposure to Regional / International projects related to water and waste water.4. Demonstrated leadership style showing capabilities to accelerate change, work in a rapidly changing environment and operate independently to deliver business results.5. Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential. Knowledge of any other foreign language will be added advantage.6.
