Key Responsibilities:

Process & Production Control

  • Plan, execute, and monitor powder coating operations as per daily/weekly production schedules.
  • Supervise pre-treatment, powder application, curing, and finishing processes.
  • Optimize equipment parameters to ensure uniform coating, proper adhesion, and curing.
  • Monitor powder usage, recovery, and wastage control.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Conduct routine inspections for coating thickness, adhesion, gloss, and overall finish.
  • Address and troubleshoot coating defects such as orange peel, pinholes or poor adhesion.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, OEM, and customer quality standards.
  • Maintain process documentation, test reports, and quality records.

Equipment & Maintenance:

  • Oversee operation and upkeep of coating booths, guns, conveyors, and curing ovens.
  • Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with maintenance teams.
  • Ensure cleanliness and efficiency of powder recovery and filtration systems.

Safety & Environment:

  • Implement and monitor safe handling of powders and chemicals.
  • Enforce PPE usage and safety procedures in the coating area.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations on emissions and waste management.
  • Team Management & Improvement
  • Supervise coating operators and helpers during shifts.
  • Train team members on standard coating procedures, troubleshooting, and 5S practices.

Initiate continuous improvement projects to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
