The Finance function operates as a global team through the partnership of a series of enterprise-focused and business-embedded groups.For more details about the Function please visit this LinkPurpose of the roleThis position is responsible for managing the administrative and product delivery issues and service-related deductions for one or more General Mills’ customers. AR Specialist duties will include prompt and accurate reconciliation of customer invoices, collaboration with General Mills Finance and Global Process Owner team to resolve discrepancies and issue payments to our customers, as well as strict adherence to all audit control requirements.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES80% of Time - Operational ManagementIdentify and resolve potential Service AR issues of the customers.Maintain an accurate and current accounts receivable trail balance. Pivotal role in AR identification, coding and clearing.In-depth research & analysis on deductions and maintaining the ageing report.\Ensure accurate payment to customer in timely manner.Provide assistance in resolving issues relating to Order Management. (Damage, Shortage, Unsaleables etc.)Liaison Process Analyst and ICS CTA for query solving on research or unique customer behavior that need interventionAdherence to all audit control requirements and SOX requirements.20% of Time - Knowledge managementEnsure accurate documentation of the process and customer specific behavior exceptionsTimely review and highlight to Process Analyst of deviations and standardization opportunitieMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)Experience- 2-3 Years of minimum years of related experience requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreferred years of related experience: 2+ yearsPreferred Major Area of Study: Finance & Accounts/ BMS/BBSSpecific Job Experience or Skills NeededBasic understanding of finance and accounting with more focus on Accounts receivable Management.SAP Knowledge, MS Office etc.Strong customer relations & CommunicationCompetencies/Behaviors required for jobCourage to question without hesitation, recommend and influenceParticipate and support enhance efficiency and effectiveness for the team and stakeholdersYearn to lead process changes through expertise and knowledgeAbility to independently solve self-problemsCommitment to superior customer service
