The role holder will be responsible for the following:.Good understanding of the policy and procedures underpinning the management of Model risk in MSS.Understanding the Non-Financial Risk framework of organisation.Work closely with ETrading Front Office COO, NFR, Technology, Infrastructure, and Compliance staff to ensure controls are designed, implemented, and operated on a consistent basis across asset classes to address risks associated with Electronic Trading and Model Risk activities.Assist the lead with translating associated regulation (e.g., MiFID II, FINRA, HKMA) and their requirements into plain English, and work with each asset class to ensure these are understood and implemented.Support pack creation for the cross-asset governance of Electronic Trading Oversight Forum and other centrally managed projects relating to ETrading in MSS calling out the risk and issues.Assist implementation of policies and procedures for ETrading and model risk ensuring they are appropriate and up to date with the input from Front Office, Technology and second line of defense teams.Assist with the Operational Risk and Control Assessments for the MSS electronic trading businesses and ensure guidance is consistently applied across MSS assessments.Ensure documents, data and associated records are collated to support the continuous monitoring of the adequacy of the controls in place to mitigate risks associated with ETrading Customers / StakeholdersEnsure assessment, design and implementation of activities engage an appropriate and complete set of stakeholders across relevant MSS product groups and supporting infrastructure functions.Support in drafting and editing various reports, such as independent reviews, annual risk reports, etc., ensuring clarity, conciseness, and factual accuracy.Assist in identifying, assessing the risk and issues that arise as the control framework develops on an ongoing basis to ensure they are monitored and managed appropriately including understanding the impact to the business.Participate in process improvement work and ad hoc projects, such as reviewing and (re-) designing target operating models.Maintain issues log and track progress in a timely manner also Identify lessons learned and read across opportunities.Ability to suggest and propose changes to processes; driving change and participating in system enhancements, applying critical thinking skills to analyse complex risk topics and challenge status quo if needed.Actively participate in team meetings. Bringing solutions / suggestions / recommendations to the table.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

(Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)Very strong communication skills (written and verbal).In depth knowledge of Financial Markets (with minimum of 8 years of experience) or in at least one asset class (FX, Equities, Fixed Income) essential.ETrading experience is must in FX, Fixed Income or Equities or an Exchange.Experience in Non-Financial Risk Management beneficial along with thought of F2B connectivity.Project Managements skills preferred as there will be a need to manage risk assessments across asset classes and sites.Be able to work in agile manner, influence and implement changes and have the ability to work with senior stake holders across 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line of defense.Background and understanding of Front Office Technology lifecycle (software development, testing, data management etc.) is essential.Understand and call out the risk associated for the business and connect F2B.Proficient in MS Office (incl. Excel to macro level advantageous & PowerPoint).Ability to perform BA tasks e.g., map out lifecycle of a trade within ETrading front to back (e.g., from FIX protocol to Exchange execution).Experience in analytical data, or Markets Control Officer role an advantage.Some Project Managements skills preferred as there will be a need to manage remediation projects across asset classes and their technology teams.Proficient in MS Office (incl. Excel to macro level advantageous & PowerPoint).Strong interpersonal skills - experience of working independently, collaborating as part of a team, and engaging with global stakeholders.Candidate should be able to work under pressure and within tight time-lines – good time management and ability to prioritise workload.

What additional skills will be good to haveRequires understanding of the changing risk and controls landscape within Global Markets.Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively and proven ability to meet challenging deadlines.Ability to exercise discretion, work independently within broad guidelines, tactfully handle sensitive and confidential data and complete assignments timely.Experience utilizing key analytics tools preferred.Proficient with Microsoft Office
