As a senior member of the quality engineering team, you’ll be responsible for adding momentum to our efforts to modernize and evolve the industry’s most widely deployed Payments system. You’ll ensure our code is testable, through your upfront participation in design reviews and code walkthroughs. As an evangelist for engineering quality, you’ll be on point to ensure that the project team understands testing process and error documentation. You’ll be an advocate for the use automation tools and techniques applied to unit tests. Working with software engineers, your test plans will ensure that our test cases cover the entire scope of user stories delivered in each and every sprint. We’re looking for someone who values the big picture but understands the importance of executing now. Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsi bility
Automate tests using homegrown and/or open source test frameworks.
Collaborate across teams to develop solution-based test plans and ensure that feedback from different stake holders is incorporated.
Maintain a high-level understanding of other NCR product lines to assess their impact on the overall solution
Flexible to work in different areas like Backend, UI and API testing.
Work towards sustaining current processes and implementing new ones.
Manage and maintain the QA environments and also plan for the future improvements and support in the planning
Analyze user stories and business process requirements to estimate qualit y risks
Basic Qualif ications
9- 14 years of professional software testing experience desired
Strong knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, Java, C++, etc
Hands-on experience in framework development & maintenance for Automation projects
Experience in testing front-end, back-end and API components of cloud-based and/or client/server products
Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent work experience
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
Strong knowledge of Agile development practices (especially Scrum), methodologies and tools.
Expertise in Database concepts and testing usingSQL\NoSQL
Experience with web services REST/SOAP API test automation
Performance & functional test automation experience
Experience with web-based testing tools like Cucumber, Selenium, Protractor etc.
Experience in SCM like Git, CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
