Job Description – Medical Scribe (Dermatology Preferred)

We are seeking an experienced
Medical Scribe
with a background in dermatology to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters, maintaining electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), and ensuring seamless clinical workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately document patient history, physical examinations, assessments, and treatment plans during live patient encounters.
  • Enter medical information into EMR/EHR systems in real time, ensuring compliance with quality and accuracy standards.
  • Support dermatologists by capturing detailed dermatology-specific medical terminology and procedures.
  • Assist in chart preparation, follow-ups, and updating patient records as needed.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Continuously improve documentation speed, accuracy, and quality.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Science / Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Nursing / Pharmacy, or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    2–3 years as a Medical Scribe (Dermatology experience strongly preferred).
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems.
  • Strong knowledge of
    medical terminology
    (especially dermatology-related).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent listening, communication, and typing skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Other:
    Strong commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance standards.
