Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Deputy Manager – Import & Export Operations to manage and streamline the company's international logistics, documentation, and compliance functions. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth movement of goods across borders, managing relationships with overseas vendors and logistics partners, and supporting compliance with all import-export regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Export Responsibilities:

  • Handle complete export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, BL, COO, GSP, BRC, bank documents, etc.
  • Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for timely clearance and dispatch
  • Follow up with suppliers and production teams for dispatch timelines and shipment planning
  • Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, and Export Promotion Council regulations
  • Track shipments and update clients with dispatch and delivery status
  • Prepare MIS reports and maintain export records for audit and tracking

Import Responsibilities:

  • Manage import documentation, including PO, invoice, packing list, and bill of entry
  • Coordinate with overseas vendors and CHA for timely cargo clearance
  • Monitor import duty payments, HS codes, and EPCG license usage
  • Follow up with accounts for vendor bill processing and payment
  • Maintain regular import tracking sheets and ensure timely reporting

Team Coordination & Compliance:

  • Supervise a small team and coordinate with internal departments like production, finance, and sourcing
  • Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, CHAs, and government authorities
  • Ensure timely and compliant execution of both import and export operations
  • Keep updated with changing international trade regulations and update management accordingly

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Import-Export Operations (Textile industry preferred)
  • Strong understanding of export-import documentation, DGFT policies, customs clearance, and EPCG licensing
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Tally, and ERP systems
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Knowledge of international shipping terms, freight negotiation, and regulatory frameworks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35, ₹55,585.99 per month
