Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) seeks a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead backend services for its AI Platform. Reporting to the Director of Software Development, you will oversee product planning, execution, and stakeholder alignment for AI services in decision sciences, language, vision, and speech. Your responsibilities include managing the full software lifecycle, balancing development with operational needs, and mentoring program managers. Ideal candidates have 7-10+ years of experience in developing enterprise applications, managing cloud-based distributed systems, and leading data science/machine learning projects. Essential skills include strong program management, expertise in agile methodologies, and effective communication for change management. Preferred certifications include PMP, SAFE, or PgMP. What You’ll Do
You would work as a Technical Program Leader on backend services for AI Platform developed and running on cloud
You will be reporting to the Director of software development responsible for driving AI Platform services for decision sciences, language, vision and speech groups
Provide program level leadership, delivery and drive product planning, execution and monitoring
Drive strong alignment within functional and technical stakeholders within and across the product groups
Manage high standards and drive visibility across the various initiatives in the group by reporting, managing and governing the overall objectives
Aid in delivering cloud service on top of the modern Infrastructure as Service (IaaS) building blocks at OCI
Drive in the entire software lifecycle – development, testing, CI and production operations
Balance between product feature development and production operational concerns like writing run books, ops automation, structured logging, instrumentation for metrics and events
Leverage a plethora of internal program tools at OCI to develop, build, deploy and manage software
Mentor and groom technical program managers in the team
Qualifications
7-10+ years in building and architecting enterprise and consumer grade applications
You have prior experience in managing projects on distributed systems in the Cloud world
You have prior experience in managing Data science and machine learning projects
Managing programs end to end by balancing the key objectives of scope, budget, time and effort
Ability to Influence and engage various teams across the board and bring in best practices
Working experience on agile methodologies, project management processes, stakeholder management
Build and Delivery of a high-quality cloud service with the capabilities, scalability, and performance needed to match the needs of enterprise teams
Take the initiative and be responsible for delivering complex software by working effectively with the team and other stakeholders
You feel at home communicating & driving change management & adoption of key program management principles
PMP, SAFE, PgMP would be a big plus
