Product Marketing Manager

Product Marketing Manager
is responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy for (Company/Product). This role will focus on understanding the market, identifying customer needs, creating product positioning, and supporting sales teams with the necessary tools and resources. The Product Marketing Manager will be the expert on the target audience, competitive landscape, and product features.Key Responsibilities:
Product Positioning:
Develop and refine product positioning and messaging that resonate with the target audience. Ensure that the product stands out in the marketplace and aligns with customer needs and trends.Market Research:
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive products. Gather insights and feedback from customers, prospects, and internal teams to inform product development and marketing strategies.Product Launches:
Plan and execute product launches in collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Product Development, Operations). Create go-to-market plans, messaging, and sales enablement materials.Sales Enablement:
Create sales tools, presentations, and other materials to assist the sales team in promoting the product. Train the sales team on key product features, benefits, and market differentiation.Product Lifecycle Management:
Collaborate with the product management team to support the product throughout its lifecycle, from conception to discontinuation. Monitor product performance and recommend improvements or enhancements.Customer Feedback:
Collect customer feedback through surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one meetings. Use this feedback to influence product development and marketing strategies.Competitive Analysis:
Regularly track competitor products and marketing strategies. Identify key differentiators and gaps in the market.Internal Collaboration:
Work closely with product management, sales, and other internal teams to align product and marketing strategies. Foster a deep understanding of the product, customer, and competitive landscape across the organization.Required Skills:
Strong Product Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the product and how it fits into the overall market landscape.Market Research:
Experience in conducting market research and customer analysis to identify key trends and opportunities.Strategic Thinking:
Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with the company’s business objectives.Sales Enablement:
Experience in creating effective sales tools and training materials that empower sales teams to sell more effectively.Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages.Collaboration:
Strong ability to work cross-functionally with product management, sales, and other internal teams to execute marketing initiatives.Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze market trends, customer feedback, and product performance to make data-driven decisions.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or related field.4+ years of experience in product marketing or a similar role.Experience in (industry relevant to the company, e.g., healthcare, technology, consumer goods) is a plus.Strong understanding of product positioning, market segmentation, and customer personas.
