The SQA Automation Engineer I owns the development and execution ofautomated tests for assigned projects. They have a proficient understanding ofthe business, its operational processes, and the software that supports theprocesses. The person in this role understands the design of existing and newfeatures and implements/executes automated tests to ensure that the software isfunctioning as designed. The SQA Automation Engineer I provides a high degreeof coordination between the product owner, the technical designer, manual testengineers, and the development team to ensure quality solutions are delivered tothe end-users.

Duties &Responsibilities: Follow test automation best practices, processes, and documentation forvalidating application projects and features Communicate and escalate information about timetables and milestonesthat may not be met Effectively document software defects and proactively communicate defectdetails and impact to the team Modify and debug test automation scripts as needed for changed features Develop and maintain specific test automation scripts and test results forregression test suites Contribute to the project planning process by estimating automation tasksand deliverables Play an active role in software testing with the QA team Participate in departmental and project team meetings Collaborate with the development, QA, and product management teams inan agile environment

Qualifications and Requirements:

Internal Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or other relatedfield, or equivalent experience 2+-4 years’ experience in software test automation preferred Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment Proficient knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, best practicesand processes Proficient knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, bestpractices and processes Proficient programming knowledge in JavaScript Basic understanding of web and API automation testing Basic understanding of web-based applications, database managementsystems, and SQL Basic working knowledge of SQL Strong desire to grow technically and professionally Strong analytical and problem solving skills Experience with commercially available automation test management toolspreferred Experience in healthcare/benefit management systems is a strong plus Team player with strong interpersonal skills Experience communicating impact in both technical and user-friendlylanguage with all levels of technical and business associates Competence and comfort with automation technology stack Proficient troubleshooting common technical problems
