In this Role, the individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing diverse teams within the Information Security Department. The primary focus of this role will involve fostering a work environment for the seamless functioning of Security Operation Center and SecDevOps Governance Center, and managing a team of proficient analysts, specialists, and experts with the aim of successfully accomplishing the goals and objectives of the Information Security Department.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assuming administrative responsibilities for the team, including managing workloads effectively, understanding the required skills and competencies for each role, planning budgets, and initiating and facilitating the process of hiring resources.
Ensuring effective communication and fostering strong business relationships throughout all levels of the organization.
Collaborate with functional head/managers for creating and implementing plans and strategies for the team to achieve organizational goals. This may involve providing team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and objectives, conducting performance evaluations, providing regular feedback, and ensuring that the team has the necessary resources and support to succeed.
Ensures appropriate leadership skills are present at every level through creating a motivational and supportive work environment in which resources are coached, trained, and provided with career opportunities through development.
Establish effective communication channels within the team and with other departments or stakeholders to ensure that information flows smoothly, ideas are shared, and collaboration is encouraged.
Job Requirements
Experience
Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Information Technology with at least 8 years of experience in managing teams.
Skills
Delivery-focused mindset with an ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Ability to effectively manage projects while paying close attention to details, combined with a focus on achieving goals.
Excellent presentation skills. Ability to articulate ideas, opinions, and concerns to all levels of the organization.
Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and tools.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
Ability to make informed and timely decisions to solve problems and drive the team's progress.
Strong leadership capabilities with organizing, influencing and conflict management skills.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or related field or equivalent demonstrated experience & knowledge
MBA degree is preferred
Certification in project management, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, can be highly advantageous
