Job Title: Logistics Executive

Location: Arumbakkam, Chennai

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Material Dispatch Planning
  • Plan and schedule dispatches of materials based on project timelines, site readiness, and coordination with the stores team.
  • Transport Arrangement
  • Arrange transport vehicles (road, rail, air, or courier) as per the size, weight, and urgency of the materials.
  • Vendor Coordination
  • Coordinate with transport vendors(End-to-End), courier partners, and fleet operators for timely pickup, delivery, and return of materials.
  • Tracking & Monitoring
  • Track shipments in real-time, maintain logs of dispatch and delivery, and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Logistics Cost Management
  • Ensure cost-effective logistics planning, verify transport invoices, and control budget overruns related to freight.
  • Material Loading & Safety
  • Oversee safe loading and unloading of materials ensuring no physical damage and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Courier & Local Dispatch Management
  • Manage courier bookings, pickups, and deliveries for small parcels, documents, or replacement parts.
  • Return Logistics Handling
  • Manage reverse logistics for defective items, unused inventory, or returns from project sites.
  • Coordination with Project & Stores Teams
  • Act as a bridge between Project Teams, Warehouse, and Transporters to ensure smooth and timely logistics flow.
  • Delivery Confirmation
  • Obtain Proof of Delivery (POD) and update system records accordingly.
  • Compliance & Regulation
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations, legal documentation, and company policies during logistics operations.
  • Record Maintenance
  • Maintain logs and reports for all logistics activities for audit, analysis, and performance review.
