Job Summary:


Purchase Manager with 15+ yrs of experience - Construction Sourcing Manager shall be responsible for end to end procurement of equipment’s, materials & parts required for Building, Infrastructure Development.


  • Responsible for Capex/Indirect sourcing / purchasing for an OEM in the areas of CIVIL & Construction, & MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Piping)
  • Manage the sourcing portfolio ensuring transparency of awarding
  • Devise and deploy efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
  • Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
  • Invent negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals.
  • Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
  • Lead and manage the RFI & RFQ process.
  • Establish beneficial working relationships with various internal groups across the organization including various programs, regional/country offices, legal, finance, and others.
  • Manage complex projects from conception through implementation, including change management.
  • Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques.
  • Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
  • Ensure and develop long term relationships with vendors
  • Managing the planning & design stages of Civil & MEP projects
  • Overseeing all project stages from preliminary layouts to final engineering design
  • Surveying new construction sites and assessing existing structures for upgrades.
  • Performing cost estimations and preparing project budgets
  • Preparing work schedules and allocating resources, as well as supervising junior level, construction manager and work technicians & contractors.
  • Ensuring that civil engineering projects are completed on time & within budget
  • Well-versed in order amendments execution


Critical / Mandatory Experience

  • Proven work experience in Indirect Sourcing, mainly in CIVIL & PEB function for automobile/Tech Company for Green field or Brown Field Project.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
  • Broad Knowledge about civil Process & PEB works
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Maintain the cost trend of Steel, cement & Sand cost w.r.t market.
  • To work on zero based costing for Civil & PEB works
  • Solid judgment with ability to make good decisions
  • Strong Communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Capable of managing self-activity planning and sorting priorities as per deadlines and work without supervision.
  • Coordinating with users for PR, Approvals and releasing PO.
  • Expedite the payments- aligning with the GRN & Accounts payable team.


Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Essential- Bachelor's Degree in Civil
  • ERP Systems, SAP, Ariba
  • 15+ years of experience in indirect sourcing/procurement in the automotive industry
