You can find out more about Amazon Flex at flex.amazon.com.You will own software in all phases of the software life-cycle from architecture and design through deployment and release. You will learn about Amazon’s logistics network, interact with other teams to build optimized systems, and have autonomy to deliver software which impacts multiple delivery provider programs.Key job responsibilities1. Design and develop scalable software solutions ensuring high performance and reliability2. Contribute significantly to the full software development lifecycle including scoping, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance while demonstrating operational excellence3. Solve complex, previously unsolved challenges in retail environments by applying strong technical design skills and creating innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience4. Actively participate in the code review process, providing meaningful feedback to team members and ensuring high-quality software development standards5. Collaborate across Sr Engineers, Product Managers and Engineering Managers to develop Last Mile tech solutions6. Demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communication and independently deliver quality results in a fast paced environmentBASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
