OpenRoads Rally specialises in organising motorcycle adventure events that bring together individuals and motorcycle brands. We are a small team based in Melbourne, Australia delivering events on the east coast of Australia.
Job Description:
OpenRoads Rally is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth and partnerships for our business. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sponsorship, advertising and affiliate relationships to increase revenue, as well as build strategic alliances to strengthen our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify organisations for potential partnerships and develop strategic alliances to expand OpenRoads Rally's reach and offerings.
Develop and execute strategies to attract sponsors, affiliates, vendors and advertisers
Close partnership agreements and enable partners to successfully refer clients to OpenRoads Rally.
Drive revenue growth through effective lead generation, prospecting, and networking efforts.
Nurture partnerships throughout their lifecycle, ensuring continuous engagement and mutual value.
Ideate, launch, and optimise B2B marketing campaigns
Collaborate with our team to drive channel referral growth and maximise partner engagement.
Identifying, negotiating and closing new business
Research market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to optimise business strategies.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, sponsors, and partners.
Ideating on new product offerings
Liaising with media to increase coverage of our events
Monitor and report on business performance metrics, including sales targets and partnership objectives.
Contribute to the overall growth strategy and expansion initiatives of OpenRoads Rally.
Requirements:
A proven track record for driving B2B/ D2C partnerships and exceeding targets
You have flawless spoken and written English and have strong research skills
You have a way with words and can write email copy and sequence campaigns that convert
You are adaptable and comfortable with a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to construct, analyse, deliver new business lines and products
Excellent business acumen, communication and interpersonal skills
We’d especially love to speak with you if
You have 6+ years of experience in any form of sales/partnership role
You've worked at a startup
You have previously successfully worked in a remote & distributed team
You have relevant industry experience (events, automotive, sponsorships)
