About the job :

Responsibilities :

- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the security systems managed by the Information Security Team.

- Ensure the optimal use of security systems.

- Plan, identify, assess, design, operationalize, and maintain various security-related software and hardware.

- Recommend and lead cyber security solutions and initiatives to enhance the organization's security posture.

- Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and evaluation criteria, conduct Proof of Concept (POC) during product evaluation, and coordinate with vendors to implement security solutions.

- Provide security consultancy, technical guidance, expertise, solutions, and education.

- Advise infrastructure teams on relevant and appropriate security designs.

- Identify and assess cyber risks within the IT infrastructure environment.

- Review firewall requests.

- Stay updated on emerging security threats and vulnerabilities on new platforms adopted by the SIA Group and propose mitigating controls.

- Perform relevant ad-hoc duties and manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

- This is an individual contributor role, requiring task delivery with minimal :

- Degree in IT or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in information security, particularly in application security.

- Preferred professional security certifications: CISSP, CSSLP, CEH, etc.

- Experience in conducting security product POC and preparing RFQs.

- Prior experience with implementing and maintaining tools for any of EDR, XDR, SOAR, SIEM, UEBA, PAM, AM, etc, and/or network security, including firewall request reviews.

- Technical expertise in one or more security areas such as network design, zero trust, Internet of Things, cryptography, etc.

- Familiarity with common web/mobile application vulnerabilities and technical knowledge to address and mitigate them.

- Experience in vulnerability management is preferred.

- Knowledge of cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, hacking, and exploit methods.

- Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Positive attitude with drive, initiative, enthusiasm, and urgency in resolving high-priority issues.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
