What You’ll Be Doing:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Principal DevOps Engineer to join our team and lead from front for infrastructure automation. You will play a pivotal role in strategizing and implementing & optimization our DevOps practices, leveraging your technical expertise in Ansible, Terraform, scripting, and cloud technologies to architect, build and manage scalable, reliable infrastructure. You will be a champion for collaboration and continuous improvement by mentoring, fostering a culture of automation and innovation within the team.

What you will be doing …

In this role, you will be a key member driving changes to refine, define & evolve the DevOps vision.

Build a strong DevOps culture that emphasizes collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement. Fostering a culture of learning and encourage knowledge sharing within the team. Provide technical leadership to identify opportunities, remove roadblocks, and mentor team members. Ensuring commitments and progress to schedules remain clear, reasonable, and proactively monitored. Set and communicate team/individual objectives and KPI to inspire individuals to achieve high performance. Providing end to end ownership of our application environments in Azure. With Terraform / Ansible, designing complex cloud environments with reusable components and maintainable code driving adoption. Architect enterprise CI/CD strategy with build and deployment pipelines. Supporting our engineering teams in maintaining and improving our source code management, repository structures and branching strategy and implementation in Git Partner with engineering teams to ensure that our solutions meet their needs. Evangelize for technology and solution underpinnings of DevOps solutions, processes, and tooling across all environments. Coach the team delivering solutions that are secure, scalable, robust, and easy to implement & maintain. Provide leadership and mentoring for junior team members. Work cross-team, cross-product and cross-functionally to identify areas of opportunity and provide assistance as-needed. Building strong cross-functional relationships and running virtual teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions for customers and prospects. As part of the DevOps Engineering leadership, shape, communicate and drive towards the future-state vision of the product and the organization. Stay ahead of the curve by constantly learning and integrating new DevOps technologies and methodologies.

You will need this to be successful …

12 - 15 years of overall experience with minimum 10+ years in DevOps & Cloud architecting solutions, hands-on mentoring engineers and guiding technical teams with strong culture of driving results. Proven experience in a DevOps or Software Engineering – complete SDLC tech leadership role, with the ability to develop high-performing teams with engineering excellence. Applications solutions design & architecture, development, deployment, and configuration management knowledge strongly desired. Deep knowledge and expertise in solving complex automation problems with creative scripting solutions (preferably PowerShell or Python ) Expert at utilizing declarative tooling for configuring complex cloud (Azure ) environments (preferably Ansible and Terraform ) Deep understanding and extensive experience deploying, maintaining, and architecting Kubernetes with containerization. Knowledge of solution design, infrastructure and automation patterns is desirable. Complete understanding of Git : branching, merging, tagging, conflicts, etc. Demonstrated experience with CI/CD , integrated with a Git strategy (at least one of: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitLab CI/CD, Bitbucket Pipelines etc.) Experience with containerization technologies, preferably Docker and Kubernetes Manage business relationships with senior leaders to understand their strategy, identify where our team can add value, and influence leaders towards long-term partnerships. Experience in agile methodology (i.e., Scrum or Scrum with Kanban ) with ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. DevOps solutions design, development and delivery experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willing to work in shift time 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm (IST). Team player
