We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Modeler / Associate Data Architect with strong expertise in designing scalable enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building conceptual, logical, and physical data models, enabling enterprise-wide data governance, and leading cloud-based data modernization initiatives.You will collaborate with cross-functional business and engineering teams to define robust data architecture, build optimized data processing layers, and guide teams through implementation best practices across OLTP, OLAP, and modern cloud environments.Key ResponsibilitiesData Architecture & ModellingDesign, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for OLTP, OLAP, data warehouses, and cloud platforms.Apply Medallion architecture , ER modeling, dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake), Data Vault, and advanced data modeling techniques.Build reusable intermediary data layers and physical consumable views for data marts.Ensure alignment of data models with enterprise architecture and business requirements.Requirement Gathering & DocumentationPartner with business/product teams to understand processes, gather requirements, and translate them into high-level specifications.Develop data mapping , source-to-target documents, metadata documentation, and lineage diagrams.Data Governance & QualityImplement and oversee data governance frameworks , data retention policies, and data quality rules.Use data observability tools and automated anomaly detection mechanisms.Maintain business glossaries, reference data, and data dictionaries.Cloud Platforms & Engineering CollaborationWork extensively on cloud platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and GCP ; contribute to cloud solution architecture.Guide engineers in ETL/ELT design, Snowflake implementation, and performance optimization.Support DevOps, DataOps, and CI/CD data pipelines.Stakeholder Management & LeadershipAct as the principal reviewer for all data models and architecture artifacts across projects.Mentor and coach junior modelers, analysts, and engineers.Communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.Migration & Modernization ProjectsLead data migration initiatives across BFSI, healthcare, or enterprise domains.Conduct profiling, lineage analysis, performance tuning, and schema optimization.Review stored procedures, database objects, triggers, and business logic.Required Skills & ExpertiseCore CompetenciesEnterprise Data Architecture, Medallion ArchitectureData Modelling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical)OLTP, OLAP, Dimensional Modelling (Star/Snowflake)Data Governance, Metadata Management, Master DataETL/ELT & Data WarehousingAgile, Scrum, Waterfall SDLCTechnical SkillsCloud: GCP (BigQuery), SnowflakeDatabases: Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQLModeling Tools: ER/StudioETL Tools: Ab InitioVisualization: Power BI, TableauStrong SQL expertise—analytical functions, indexing, optimization, partitioning, query tuningKnowledge of Snowflake features: Snowpipes, Streams, Tasks, zero-copy cloningPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Applications or related fieldExperience in BFSI, healthcare, insurance, or enterprise-scale systemsCertifications (preferred):Cisco Data Analytics EssentialsCertified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
