Zuora Engineer (SME) – Only people with expertise in customer experience and workflows will be considered - REMOTE

Client: Global Financial Services Organisation Location: Fully Remote

Rate: £330/day Outside IR35 REMOTE - Offshore candidates considered (Direct contractors only)

Duration: 4 months, with a very strong potential for a 12 month extension

Role Overview Our client is UK based and urgently seeking a skilled Zuora Engineer (SME) to address a critical single point of failure in their subscription billing infrastructure. This role is pivotal in stabilising operations and enhancing customer experience workflows across a global footprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve risks within the Zuora platform to ensure operational continuity
• Design and optimise customer experience workflows across billing and subscription journeys
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, and CX teams to align Zuora capabilities with business goals
• Implement best practices for Zuora configuration, automation, and data integrity
• Provide technical leadership and documentation to reduce future dependency risks

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Zuora Engineer or Architect in enterprise environments
• Deep understanding of subscription billing models and customer lifecycle management
• Hands-on expertise with Zuora APIs, Workflow Designer, Product Catalog, and Reporting
• Experience integrating Zuora with CRM (e.g. Salesforce), ERP, and data platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer experience
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Additional Context The client currently lacks internal expertise in customer experience and workflow design. This role will be instrumental in bridging that gap and future-proofing their Zuora setup.
