Job Description – Business Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in sales and business development within the freight forwarding and logistics industry, with proven expertise in generating new business and managing key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development and sales initiatives focusing on freight forwarding/logistics.
  • Manage assigned geographical sales areas or product lines to maximize revenue and market coverage in line with corporate objectives.
  • Achieve sales targets in terms of both revenue and volume by expanding the client base.
  • Generate sales from new clients while maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers.
  • Handle key accounts and ensure consistent engagement with existing clients to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop prospective clients through cold calling, networking, and relationship management.
  • Monitor and manage sales leads, ensuring effective follow-ups and conversions.
  • Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to provide effective freight forwarding and logistics solutions to clients.
  • Negotiate with corporates and decision-makers to close deals and enhance business revenue.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.
  • Strong understanding of sales operations, market dynamics, and client requirements.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Tamil and Hindi will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50, ₹70,000.00 per month
