About the Role:

As an AI Intern at OSCOWL ai, you will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to real-world AI projects and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You will work alongside our talented team of AI Engineers and Researchers, focusing primarily on Natural Language Processing (NLP). This internship is an excellent opportunity for students to apply their academic knowledge, develop practical skills, and gain valuable insights into the field of artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of NLP models and algorithms.
• Work with large language models (LLMs) for various NLP tasks.
• Contribute to data preprocessing, cleaning, and augmentation efforts.
• Participate in the evaluation and testing of AI models.
• Conduct research on relevant AI/NLP topics and methodologies.
• Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and contribute to solutions.
• Document your work and findings effectively.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and NLP.
• Potentially contribute to other AI-related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
• Expected to graduate in 2026 or 2027.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Basic understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications.
• Foundational knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts and techniques (e.g., text processing, sentiment analysis, text classification).
• Familiarity with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers - a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with specific NLP tasks (e.g., named entity recognition, machine translation, question answering).
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (Azure, GCP).
• Contributions to open-source projects or personal AI/ML projects.
