Senior L2/L3 Protocols Developer - QoS

to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru.

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L2/L3 Networking Protocols Developer with a strong focus on Quality of Service (QoS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of networking protocols, a solid foundation in C/C++ programming, and a passion for delivering high-performance, reliable, and scalable networking solutions.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain high-performance L2/L3 networking protocols, including but not limited to:Ethernet, VLAN, STP, LACP, LLDPIP, ARP, ICMP, IGMP, MLDOSPF, BGP, IS-ISMPLS, RSVP, LDPDevelop and optimize QoS features, including:Classification, marking, and policingQueue scheduling algorithms (WFQ, PQ, SP, etc.)Congestion control mechanismsAnalyze and troubleshoot complex networking issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve problems.Collaborate with system architects, software engineers, and test engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and industry trends.Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements to our networking products.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.6+ years of experience in L2/L3 networking protocol development.Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and concepts.Experience with QoS mechanisms and algorithms.Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Strong understanding of networking hardware and software architectures.Experience with network simulation tools (e.g., IXIA, Spirent).Familiarity with Linux and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl).Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with network processor architectures and SDKs.Knowledge of network function virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN).Experience with network security protocols (e.g., IPsec, SSL).Contributions to open-source networking projects.
