Cloud Engineering Senior Analyst

Position Overview:We are seeking an accomplished AWS cloud engineer to join the Geospatial Engineering Team for large-scale projects. A person with experience in cloud-based tech with a firm hold on innovative technologies, platforms, and applications will be an ideal match. Extensive familiarity with cloud maintenance, excellent industry insight.

Responsibilities:Recognize the current application infrastructure and suggest new concepts to improve performanceDocument the best practices and strategies associated with application deployment and infrastructure supportProduce reusable, efficient, and scalable programs, and cost-effective migration strategiesDevelop different AWS services, including API, RDS instance, and Lambda to build serverless applicationsWork jointly with the IT team and other departments to migrate web applications to AWSComfortable to work on tight timelines, when required

QualificationsRequired Skills:Understanding of core AWS services, uses, and AWS architecture best practicesHands-on experience in different domains, like database architecture, business intelligence, machine learning, advanced analytics, big data, etc.Hands-on experience of testing automation, developing, and maintaining automation scripts, design automation strategies.Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline.Experience with documentation creation and updates.Excellent understanding of one of these: Python, Node.js, and/or Java.Substantial knowledge in Linux/Unix administrationExperience with Docker and KubernetesExpertise in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, data scientists, subject matter experts, and developersAbility to quickly identify and resolve issues in distributed systems

Required Experience & Education:Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or any relevant disciplines3-6+ years of experience in planning, designing, developing, architecting, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms.3 years of hands-on experience working with infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools, preferably Terraform/AWS

Desired Experience:Proactive, team player, and problem-solverPrevious experience in handling large-scale systems designKnowledge of web services, like API, REST.Have Some Exposure to Geospatial Technologies and libraries (i.e., ESRI, GDAL, GeoJSON, routing, geocoding, Geopandas, etc.)AWS certifications or any additional professional certifications.
