As the Zonal Manager - Operations, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations within your assigned WEST zone. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Key Responsibility:

Operational Leadership:Provide strategic direction and leadership to the operations team within the assigned zone.Oversee day-to-day logistics activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.Drive P&L for the zone through the KPIs defined for both outbound and inbound across DC Operations.Determine the long-term strategies to meet the Business Plans.Manage Operation with absolute control on time & cost to market with Service Level along with the Cluster Manager / DC In charges.

Process Optimization:Identify and implement operational best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Streamline logistics processes to enhance overall supply chain performance.Managing operations in the with service efficiency and cost-effective manner.Review, analyze and plan the operating volumes, resource & Capacity utilization so as to implement measures and means to enhance levels of performance.To innovate, develop and implement strategies for lowering cost to market and create new benchmarks in the industry.Drive process excellence through operational efficiency and productivity through continual enhancement of Process through Implementation of Quality Enhancement Programs/Tools.

Team Management:Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing operations team.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team.

Performance Monitoring:Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track operational performance.Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Vendor and Partner Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and other partners.Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.Proactively managing the delivery of service and managing relationships with the customers at all levels.

Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.Drive safety as a process across the facilities to propagate a safety culture in the facilities.

Customer Satisfaction:Collaborate with customer service teams to address client inquiries and concerns promptly.Work towards exceeding customer expectations and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.Interface directly with Internal and External customers to develop and accomplish Operational goals.Ensure customer satisfaction through effective resource planning, asset management, team integration and motivation through staff development.Ensure all contracts are effectively and efficiently managed in order to meet and exceed both the customer's requirements and those of the business.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Candidates from 3PL (Contract Logistics) industry preferred.B.E./B. Tech (Mechanical/Elec.)/ MBA from good institute. However, comfort with data and numbers needs to be high.Proven experience 18-22 years in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on operations.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of relevant software and technology in logistics management.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Ability to travel as needed.
