About the Role :

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer (QA) to join our growing team.

In this entry-level role, you will gain valuable experience in functional testing across various application types, contributing to the quality and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities :

Functional Testing :

- Perform manual and exploratory testing of browser-based applications, mainframe applications, and ISO 20022 XML file validation.

- Identify and report software defects using a bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA or Microfocus ALM).

- Collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

Test Data Management :

- Assist in creating and managing test data for various testing environments, including mainframe systems.

Test Automation (Optional) :

- (For candidates with experience) Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Postman or Oxygen (a plus).

- Leverage Excel macros to automate testing processes involving Blue Zone screens (a plus).

Tools and Technologies :

- Gain proficiency in using JIRA, Microfocus ALM, and other relevant testing tools.

- Utilize MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) effectively for creating test documentation and reports.

- (Optional) Become familiar with Power BI for data analysis and reporting (a plus).

Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) :

- Develop a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on testing methodologies and processes.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing environments.
