Description

A Salesforce CPQ Technical Architect designs and implements Salesforce CPQ solutions, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and meet business requirements. They collaborate with stakeholders, define technical solutions, and guide development teams to deliver complex CPQ functionalities like product modeling, pricing, and order capture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Implementation:

Translate business needs into well-architected CPQ solutions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and compliance with Salesforce best practices.

  • Technical Leadership:

Lead technical design sessions, mentor development teams, and drive technical decision-making.

  • Collaborative Work:

Work closely with solution architects, business analysts, and project managers to ensure project success.

  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation:

Define and document technical requirements, functional specifications, and system design specifications.

  • Code Review & Quality:

Maintain coding standards and conduct code reviews to ensure quality and design patterns are followed.

  • Pre-Sales Activities:

May participate in pre-sales activities, such as proof-of-concept (POC) development and technical deep-dive sessions.

  • Integration Design:

Design and implement integrations between Salesforce CPQ and other systems, especially enterprise applications like SAP.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Salesforce CPQ Expertise:

Extensive experience with Salesforce CPQ, including product configuration, pricing, and quote-to-cash processes.

  • Technical Architecture Skills:

Strong understanding of technical architecture, including designing and building robust and scalable solutions.

  • Development & Integration:

Experience in custom development, integrations, and data migration within the Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Salesforce Certifications:

Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist and/or other relevant Salesforce certifications are highly preferred.

  • Communication & Collaboration:

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical challenges.
