Job Description: As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our data infrastructure to enable seamless data flow across systems. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that data is easily accessible, reliable, and optimized for reporting and analytics. You will also have a key role in automating processes and enhancing data visualization capabilities.
Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). AI Engineering, using openAI to enrich datasets Develop and optimize BigQuery data structures for efficient query execution and data extraction. Create visually compelling dashboards and reports using Looker, ensuring data is effectively communicated to stakeholders. Write and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and automation of routine processes. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all platforms. Implement best practices for data management, including performance optimization and cost management on GCP. Develop automated data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure consistency and reliability.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a Data Engineer, working extensively with BigQuery, Looker, and GCP. Strong proficiency in Python for data automation, ETL processes, and scripting. Solid understanding of data warehouse design, ETL processes, and large-scale data handling. Experience in creating intuitive and effective data visualizations in Looker. Demonstrated ability to automate and streamline data processes to improve efficiency. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills: Experience with other GCP services like Dataflow, Pub/Sub, or Cloud Functions. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform). Knowledge of advanced data processing techniques and machine learning pipelines. Experience with API integrations and data streaming solutions.
