Senior Release Engineer

We are looking for an Senior Release Engineer — a strategic and hands-on leader who will own the release journey of our AI product on Google Cloud . You will be the conductor of every release cycle: planning, coordinating across teams, automating pipelines, and ensuring new features and models reach production seamlessly.

This role blends release management discipline (CAB, Go/No-Go, governance) with cloud engineering expertise (Google Cloud, automation, troubleshooting). You'll bring clarity during fast-paced AI deployments, while building systems that prevent issues before they occur.

What You'll Do

• Orchestrate the end-to-end release lifecycle — from planning and stakeholder alignment to Go/No-Go, deployment, and retrospectives.
• Coordinate across Engineering, QA, MLOps, and Product teams to ensure every release is smooth, reliable, and bug-free.
• Lead CAB reviews and release readiness checks to minimize risk.
• Build and manage automation-first release pipelines on Google Cloud (GKE, Cloud Build, Terraform, Python).
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud environment or configuration issues during releases.
• Develop observability dashboards that give real-time visibility into release health.
• Drive a culture of clarity in chaos and extreme ownership , ensuring confidence in every release.

What You Bring

• Proven release management experience (CAB meetings, Go/No-Go facilitation, stakeholder alignment).
• Strong Google Cloud expertise (GKE, IAM, Networking, Storage, Cloud Build).
• Hands-on skills in Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker , and Python automation .
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, or ArgoCD).
• Familiarity with AI/ML product release cycles (preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-team coordination skills.
