Lead - Digital Sculptor

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of digital sculptors in creating high-quality digital sculptures for various projects, including films, video games, animations, and collectible figurines.
  • Provide artistic direction, guidance, and mentorship to the team to ensure consistency in style, quality, and creativity across all sculpting projects.
  • Collaborate closely with art directors, concept artists, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, interpret concept designs, and translate them into 3D digital sculptures.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of sculpting tasks and adherence to project milestones.
  • Conduct regular reviews and feedback sessions with team members to assess progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital sculpting techniques and tools.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Digital Arts, Animation, or related field.
  • Proven experience in digital sculpting, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in character and prop sculpting using digital sculpting software such as ZBrush, Mudbox, or Blender.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with the ability to lead and inspire a team of artists.
  • Strong artistic and creative skills, with a keen eye for detail, form, and proportion.
  • Proficiency in digital sculpting techniques, anatomy, and character design principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear direction, feedback, and constructive criticism.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering techniques is a plus.
  • Passion for digital art, animation, and storytelling.

Skills:

  • Digital Sculpting: Creating high-quality digital sculptures using digital sculpting software.
  • Leadership: Leading and managing a team of artists to achieve project goals.
  • Artistic Direction: Providing artistic direction and guidance to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate concepts into 3D sculptures.
  • Communication: Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Digital Arts, or related field.
  • Experience in the entertainment industry, such as film, animation, or video games.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling, texturing, and rigging.
  • Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
