Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced strategy and clinical planning professionals to join the Strategy and Planning team. About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg. About the Role: Northern Health is seeking an experienced Planner to join the Strategy and Planning team for a 12-month role. This position supports clinical, strategic, and operational business planning across the organisation. Reporting to the Director, Strategy and Planning, the Manager, Planning will contribute to delivering the directions of the Northern Health Strategic Plan. Key responsibilities include leading strategic, operational, and clinical service planning initiatives; managing projects; conducting high-level data analysis; and developing proposals for new services and capital developments. Applicants must demonstrate expertise in strategy development and advice provision, clinical service planning, project management, and service design. Strong communication, relationship-building, and analytical skills are essential, along with a thorough understanding of the Victorian health care system. Experience in health service planning or related projects will be highly regarded. This role suits self-starters who thrive in collaborative, delivery-focused environments and are passionate about driving organisational outcomes. To be successful in this role you will have: Proven experience managing complex clinical, strategic and operational planning projects Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic advice that is timely, relevant, and aligned with organisational priorities that informs service planning and organisational strategy Strong project management skills, including very well-developed project planning, scheduling and implementation skills utilised to successfully deliver projects Strong stakeholder management skills including relationship development, expectation management and where necessary, influencing and negotiating to achieve desired outcomes Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally, along with the Department of Health and Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) Demonstrated attention to detail during all project phases including stakeholder management A proven flexible, positive and collaborative working style Ability to be self-directed, motivated and to work as part of a team Next Steps . . .
