About the company:

1Fi, short for OneFinancial, is an innovative investment platform for the new-age investor. 1Fi enables its users to earn returns of equity while enjoying the peace of mind of fixed deposits. 1Fi offers two financial products - Mutual funds investment and loan against mutual funds, a combination of which allows the users to invest for the long run without ever worrying about liquidity.


To put it simply, we invest customers' capital in diversified buckets of curated high-return equity mutual funds (tailored to each customer) and extend them a line of credit at only 8% p. a. which can be used whenever the customer needs to incur a large expense. So the customer never needs to invest in low-return fixed deposits or maintain a liquid pool of capital.


Responsibilities:

As a Chief Investment Officer (CIO), you will be one of the co-founders and will define, build, and scale 1Fi's investment strategies. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the product, driving innovation, and crafting long-term financial strategies that align with 1Fi’s mission of democratizing wealth creation. This is a co-founding role, and you will have significant responsibility in making key decisions, influencing the company's future, and ensuring 1Fi’s success.


Qualifications:

  • Professional Experience: 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in high-impact roles, preferably in wealth management, asset management, investment platforms, or financial services.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: A passion for building products, with a strong ownership mentality and desire to innovate within the fintech space.
  • Domain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of mutual funds, investment strategies, and the financial services industry.
  • Strategic Leadership: Proven experience in building and leading teams, with a hands-on approach to solving complex challenges.
  • Education: Strong academic background from top-tier institutions (e.g., IIMs, ISB, IITs, NITs, CFA/CA or other Tier 1 institutions).
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to leverage data-driven decision-making to align the investment strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Fundraising Experience: Previous experience in investor relations or fundraising will be a plus.
  • Prior entrepreneurial experience is an added advantage.


Compensation:

  • Basic compensation shall be highly competitive, at par with the best in the industry
  • Significant proportion of the compensation shall be in the form of equity since this is a leadership role
