Job Summary

  • To spearhead the plant manufacturing operations by.
  • Building robust manufacturing practices and processes for High-speed metal stamping.
  • Insert Molding.
  • Tool Maintenance.
  • Driving the operations by using productivity tools, right sizing manpower, production process and systems to achieve profitability targets.
  • Meeting the plant OTDR by planning and prioritizing the production activities.
  • Setting robust systems to ensure zero PPM in-house and with customers.
  • Enhancing the manufacturing process effectiveness by driving Lean manufacturing, six sigma, value stream mapping, Kanban’s/Pull Systems, seven wastes, 5S, Poka-Yoke, PDCA, etc.
  • Driving cost reduction initiatives including Kaizens in the plant.
  • Driving robust preventive maintenance systems for plant & equipment and tool maintenance.
  • Driving continuous improvement programs in QMS and EMS.
  • Collaborating with the internal stakeholders such as Sales, SCM, Quality & Engineering functions, and the Bangalore Plant for on-time delivery to the customers and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Drive various activities related to EHS/ESG.
  • Drive initiatives on safety to ensure ZERO incidents.
  • Emphasizing a systematic approach to all manufacturing processes like material planning, stores management and tool & equipment maintenance.
  • Hiring the right talents, developing the talents, and creating the career plan and the succession plan for the team.
  • Drive a robust Performance Management System by establishing the KRA, and KPIs, enhancing the performance expectations, on-time evaluation of the performance, and providing feedback when required.
  • Maintaining harmonious Industrial Relations and Trust in the plant.
  • Driving a good Management Information System for the decision-making processes.
  • Providing the overall leadership to the plant in all aspects of the business and people.
  • The position is a Senior Management position reporting to the MD.


Skills/ Competency Required:

  • Knowledge of the High-Speed Stamping process.
  • Knowledge of the Insert Molding process.
  • Knowledge of the Tool Room including Tool Maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of QMS including IATF 16949, and EMS systems.
  • Good knowledge of LEAN Concepts.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of Industrial relations and Conflict management.
  • Managerial and Leadership skills.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder management.
  • Good Engineering Skills.
  • People development skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Planning skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Systematic Problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to communicate in Tamil.
  • Flexibility to travel to Bangalore as and when required.


Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineer (BE or B.Tech) with around 15+ years’ experience in a precision manufacturing Industry with a minimum of 5 years in a senior position.
  • Heading production functions such as High-speed stamping, Insert Molding and Tool maintenance, and the sourcing, planning, and maintenance functions. The candidate shall be able to cope with high work pressure and be a go-getter with assertiveness.
