We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Dangerous Goods (DG) Instructor to manage end-to-end compliance within our DG department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering top-tier training programs that meet the highest standards of regulatory organizations, ensuring the safe handling and transportation of dangerous goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Development and Delivery:
Develop and maintain high-quality DG training materials aligned with DG Training Manual, DG Manual, and DGCA requirements.
Ensure effective and efficient delivery of DG training programs upon obtaining DGCA approvals.
Assess, monitor, and provide personalized feedback to trainee
Review training feedback and implement improvements to course content and delivery.
Identify competency-based DG training needs across the industry.
Compliance and Documentation:
Manage, monitor, and upgrade departmental and training manuals.
Develop and maintain documentation to ensure compliance for the DG department.
Ensure an auditing and recording system is in place for all regulatory requirements and operations comply with DGCA standards.
Maintain current knowledge of DG regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ensure the department is compliant with international and national organizations like ICAO, DGCA, and IATA.
Operational Safety:
* Ensure the safe carriage and handling of dangerous goods.
* Monitor the performance of all employees involved in the DG handling chain.
* Ensure documentation and training records are up-to-date.
Collaboration and Support:
Assist the DGM – AvSec and DGR.
Liaise with DGCA and other Civil Aviation Authorities.
Ensure smooth functioning of the Safety, Security, and Quality System within the area of responsibility.
Willingness to work on weekends and travel pan-India for training as needed.
Skills and Attributes:
* In-depth knowledge of applicable DG Regulations.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
* High integrity and sound judgment.
* Commands respect from peers and management.
Qualifications:
DGCA approved Dangerous Goods Instructor.
Successful completion of "Professional Skills for Dangerous Goods Instructor" course.
Successful completion of DG training in Category 6 / Function 7.1 or 7.3, valid for at least 12 months from the interview date.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Work Experience:
Minimum of ten years' experience in cargo operations, including acceptance and handling of dangerous goods, preferably in cargo aircraft handling.
Knowledge or experience in passenger/crew handling and baggage handling at an airport with an airline or Ground Handling Agent (GHA).
Minimum of five years' experience as an instructor.
