**Role Definition:**

As a Business Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by generating leads through inbound and outbound activities. Your primary focus will be on identifying and qualifying leads through inbound channels such as Indiamart, Trade India, our company website, and other online platforms. Additionally, you will engage in outbound activities to initiate contact with potential clients and qualify opportunities for our sales engineers to pursue. This role requires a proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


**Key Responsibilities:**


1. **Lead Generation:**

  - Utilize inbound channels such as Indiamart, Trade India, and our company website to identify and qualify potential leads within our target market segments.

  - Monitor inbound inquiries, leads, and website traffic to identify opportunities for engagement and follow-up.


2. **Outbound Activities:**

  - Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling, to initiate contact with potential clients and qualify opportunities.

  - Research and identify key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations and develop personalized messaging to engage with them effectively.


3. **Lead Qualification:**

  - Engage with leads through phone calls, emails, and online communications to understand their needs, challenges, and buying intentions.

  - Qualify leads based on predefined criteria, including budget, timeline, and fit with our product offerings, and prioritize opportunities for further engagement.


4. **Collaboration with Sales Team:**

  - Partner closely with our sales engineers to hand off qualified leads and opportunities, providing them with detailed information and insights to support their sales efforts.

  - Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies and tactics for maximizing conversion rates and closing deals with qualified leads.


5. **Pipeline Management and Reporting:**

  - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, opportunities, and activities in our CRM system.

  - Track and report on key performance metrics such as lead conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and revenue generated from inbound and outbound activities.


**Qualifications:**


- Bachelor's degree in Engineering 

- Masters’s Business Administration, or related field will be preferred

- Proven experience in business development, sales, or lead generation roles, preferably in a B2B environment.

- Strong understanding of inbound and outbound marketing strategies and tactics, with experience using online platforms such as Indiamart, Trade India, and for lead generation.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with prospects and build rapport.

- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding lead generation targets and objectives.

- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
