Senior QA Engineering Lead & Technical Product Manager About the Role We're seeking an experienced QA professional who can wear multiple hats—leading our quality assurance initiatives while driving product delivery and sprint management. This unique role combines deep QA expertise with product management and Scrum Master responsibilities, making you a key pillar in our engineering organization. This role requires someone who leads from the front: You'll be the glue between engineering, product, and stakeholders. We need a natural communicator who actively participates in meetings, drives discussions, and keeps everyone aligned. If you prefer working in isolation or avoid meetings, this isn't the right fit. What You'll Do Quality Assurance Leadership (50%) Own and define comprehensive testing strategies across the organization Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, setting standards and best practices Design and implement QA frameworks, test automation strategies, and quality gates Write and review test cases, including unit tests and integration tests Drive root cause analysis for critical bugs and system stability issues Take accountability for overall platform stability and quality metrics Hands-on involvement in codebase when needed to write test automation or debug issues Product & Sprint Management (30%) Manage sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives as Scrum Master Prioritize and triage high-priority bugs and feature requests Coordinate release schedules, deployment planning, and version management Assign and track issues across the development team Ensure sprint goals are met and team velocity is maintained Bridge communication between engineering, product, and stakeholders Strategic Oversight (20%) Define deployment strategies and release processes Establish quality benchmarks and improvement initiatives Drive cross-functional alignment on testing requirements Contribute to technical decision-making and architecture discussions Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions What We're Looking For Required Experience 5+ years of hands-on QA/test engineering experience 2+ years leading QA teams or quality initiatives Strong engineering background with ability to read, write, and review code Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines Proven track record managing sprints and agile ceremonies Experience with bug tracking, sprint management tools (Jira, Linear, etc.) Technical Skills Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java Script, Java, etc.) Deep understanding of testing methodologies (unit, integration, E2 E, performance) Experience with test automation tools and frameworks Familiarity with deployment strategies and version control (Git) Understanding of system architecture and debugging complex issues Leadership & Soft Skills Exceptional communicator - you actively engage in meetings, lead discussions, and proactively update stakeholders Highly collaborative - you thrive in team environments and believe in transparent, frequent communication Meeting presence matters - you show up prepared, contribute meaningfully, and drive conversations forward Strong ownership mentality and accountability Excellent at articulating complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to juggle multiple priorities and context-switch effectively Experience mentoring and growing QA talent Process-oriented with focus on continuous improvement Comfortable making decisions under ambiguity and communicating trade-offs clearly Why Join Teachally?
