The Role Computer Operators at Kyndryl are key in helping revolutionize the way we operate complex computer systems. As a Computer Operator you will be on the technical frontline – performing batch operations as per service agreements, analyzing first-level issues across systems, and resolving/routing issues as appropriate. And finally, you’re open and borderless – naturally inclusive in how you work with others.Required Technical and Professional Expertise Minimum 3 to 5 years of Experience in Mainframe Console and Batch Operations Monitor and manage production mainframe operating systems, subsystems, and resources. Perform IPL/reboot activities and execute system startup/shutdown procedures. Handle console operations, device monitoring, and predefined recovery actions. Manage incidents end-to-end, including severity validation, escalation, and service restoration. Coordinate with Service Management and Crisis teams during outages. Execute recovery procedures and restart failing components or subsystems (IMS/CICS/DB2). Document restoration activities, timelines, and support RCA processes. Monitor batch jobs, identify failures, and perform required restarts. Resolve batch scheduling conflicts and update scheduler databases as needed. Schedule adhoc/on-request batch jobs and ensure timely batch completion. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other related fields.
