Role & responsibilities Prepare a wide variety of goods such as Japanese, Teppanyaki, sushi, sashimi, ramen etc. Arrange and garnish dishes. Monitor food stock and place orders. Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items. Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area. Train the auxiliary kitchen staff in order to provide best results in minimum time and using at the maximum the available resources. Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards. Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus. Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs. Responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, creating menu items, recipes, and developing dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. Preferred candidate profile Proven experience as a Japanese Cuisine / Teppanyaki Chef. Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure. Knowledge of best cooking practices. Culinary school diploma.
