Learning Systems Specialist

The future of travel is rooted in delivering an intuitive and effortless customer service experience. The most challenging customer service issues often necessitate the expertise of our customer service associates. Our Learning Experience Design team is crafting a world-class development program for these associates, leveraging innovative learning methods and technologies to deliver immersive learning experiences throughout their journey to mastery.

We are seeking a Learning Systems Specialist to manage the daily operations of our learning technologies and global learning catalogue. This role is perfect for individuals with excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, technical acumen with learning and talent technologies, and a knack for bringing order to ambiguity to solve problems. What you’ll do:

  • Manage the daily operations and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) and other content development and distribution tools.

  • Oversee and monitor LMS-related projects, including new feature enhancements, process improvements, and reporting-related needs.

  • Promote proactive approaches to using the LMS to solve business needs while enhancing the understanding and acceptance of the LMS capabilities.

  • Collaborate with global partners to ensure compliance and oversight of the LMS within global guidelines.

  • Work with authors, trainers, and coordinators globally to ensure alignment of best practices.

  • Troubleshoot errors and issues in conjunction with the HRIS and IT administrators.

  • Communicate system changes proactively to administrators, coordinators, and team members.

  • Maintain content for the Learning Management System (LMS) including regular content updates.

  • Provide customer support to end-users experiencing difficulties with the LMS.

  • Upload, test, and update content in multiple formats.

  • Provide end user training, admin support and troubleshooting.

  • Keep LMS users informed of new developments, methods, and techniques for the platform

Who you are:

  • You have 3+ years of experience administering learning solutions (LMS, LXP, LRS).

  • You have 3+ years of experience implementing eLearning content authoring software.

  • You have 3+ years of experience in reporting and analysis; advanced MS Excel skills required, familiarity with BI tools like Tableau preferred.

  • You have a strong familiarity with Adobe Learning Manager LMS.

  • You have a strong understanding of eLearning standards including SCORM, AICC, and xAPI.

  • You are proficient in Atlassian Confluence and JIRA, experience in SharePoint is a plus.

  • You have strong problem-solving skills in the face of ambiguity.

  • You have excellent organizational and planning skills.

  • You have excellent written communication skills, with experience in technical writing a plus.

  • You have a strong attention to detail.

  • You have experience managing end-user support via a ticketing system.

  • You have intermediate experience in deeper database concepts (table structure design/query optimization, indexes, etc).

  • You have intermediate experience with SQL programming (writing queries/joins/aggregations).

  • You have intermediate experience using business intelligence and analytics tools like Tableau.

  • You understand adult learning theory.

  • You understand UI/UX and Human Centered Design principles.

  • You have a strong intellectual curiosity and desire to build knowledge of learning, talent, and performance technologies.
