Key Responsibilities

1. Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Database systems (10g/11g/12c/19c) in production and development environments.

2. Manage and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages for performance and scalability.

3. Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshoot issues.

4. Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and high availability (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN).

5. Monitor database health, capacity planning, and proactively address issues.

6. Support development teams with complex SQL queries, schema design, and indexing strategies.

7. Manage database migrations, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime.

8. Document database store procedures, standards, and best practices.

9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for application integration and support.

10. Provide 24x7 production support (on-call rotation) as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. 10+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator with strong PL/SQL expertise.

2. Proficiency in Oracle 11g/12c/19c environments.

3. Hands-on experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plans.

4. Strong knowledge of backup/recovery strategies using RMAN.

5. Experience with RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate.

6. Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.

7. Experience with cloud-hosted databases (AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud) is an advantage.

8. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

9. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
