We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated AWS Glue Architect to join our team and play a leading role in designing, developing, and managing our data lake architecture on AWS Glue.

What We Expect From This Role :

Experience :

- 10-12 years of experience in software development and data engineering.

- Proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing data lake solutions using AWS Glue.

- (Preferred) Experience with data modeling methodologies and best practices.

Technical Skills :

- In-depth knowledge of AWS services, particularly AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, Athena, and related data lake components.

- Expertise in Python and Spark for data processing and transformation.

- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.

- Familiarity with data quality and data governance practices.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automating data lake deployments (a plus).

- Experience with cloud security best practices for protecting data in the cloud (a plus).

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams (data scientists, data analysts, business stakeholders).

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- A proactive and results-oriented approach to work.

Additional Skills (Preferred) :

- Experience acting as a Point of Contact (POC) for clients or internal teams, managing expectations and providing technical guidance.

- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI (a plus).

Responsibilities :

- Design and architect scalable data lake solutions using AWS Glue.

- Develop and implement data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and cleansing.

- Define data schemas and data quality rules to ensure data consistency and accuracy.

- Configure and manage AWS Glue crawlers, jobs, and workflows.

- Monitor and optimize data lake performance and resource utilization.

- Implement security best practices to protect data within the data lake.

- Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and design solutions.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AWS Glue features and best practices.

- Document data lake architecture and processes for future reference.

(If applicable) Act as a technical point of contact for clients or internal teams, providing guidance and support.
