Job Description

- Data Engineer with experience using AWS Glue with experience in Snowflake and a good understanding of dbt (data build tool).

- The candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with hands-on experience in building and optimizing ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, as well as familiarity with Snowflake for data warehousing and dbt for data transformation and modeling.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data lake and data warehouse.

- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.

- Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring efficient data ingestion and processing.

- Implement and maintain data models and transformations using dbt to enable efficient data analysis and reporting.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions in a timely manner.

- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering and cloud computing, and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.

- Document technical specifications, data flows, and system architecture diagrams to ensure clarity and maintainability of ETL pipelines and data models.

- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;.

- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in developing ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, with proficiency in Python programming and AWS services (S3, Lambda, IAM, etc.

- Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehouse platforms, including data modeling and SQL querying.

- Good understanding of dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and modeling, with practical experience preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and implement effective solutions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Experience working in an Agile environment with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty) is desirable but not required.
