Job Title: Atlassian Systems Administrator (Contract)

Location: Remote, India

R esponsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and administration for the Atlassian product suite, including Confluence, Jira Software, and Jira Service Management, along with related plugins.
  • Collaborate with end users to design and implement automation rules and scripts to fulfill business requirements.
  • Maintain runbooks and documentation to ensure efficient operation of systems.
  • Customize workflows, issue types, fields, and screens to align with organizational needs.
  • Configure dashboards and reports to provide project status and progress visibility.
  • Advise users on optimizing application usage to support business processes.
  • Evaluate and implement plugins and integrations to enhance system functionality.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and assist in testing and implementing upgrades.
  • Work closely with IT Product Managers and Engineers on larger initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with other systems, such as source control and build systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with internal tooling.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on the use of Jira.

Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of enterprise-level experience in Jira and Confluence system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira and Confluence configuration, administration, and integration.
  • Proficiency with Jira plugins and Atlassian Marketplace applications.
  • Familiarity with business analytics tools such as EazyBI or PowerBI.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and project management workflows.
  • Ability to evaluate customer requests and extract underlying requirements and use cases.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Capability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Clarity and conciseness in communication.
  • Experience working effectively in a remote-first work environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Basic scripting skills in Groovy, SIL, Python, or Go.
  • Experience in automating EC2 or container deployments.
  • Atlassian certification ACP-100 Jira Administration for Data Center and Server.
  • Strong understanding of security principles.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company.
