Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with expertise in DATEV, the leading German accounting software. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of German accounting principles and experience supporting tax office closings, including preparing and submitting financial data in compliance with local tax regulations.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day accounting tasks using DATEV softwarePrepare financial records and reports in accordance with German accounting standardsSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring timely submission to the German Tax Office Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., auditors, tax consultants) to ensure compliance with statutory requirementsReconcile accounts, manage ledgers, and ensure data integrityMaintain accurate documentation and assist in audit preparationStay updated with relevant changes in German tax laws and accounting regulationsRequirements:2+ years of hands-on experience using DATEV accounting softwareSolid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and tax filing processesExperience in preparing documentation for tax office closingsStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting toolsEnglish proficiency requiredPreferred Qualifications:Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldPrior experience working in a German accounting environment or with German clientsFamiliarity with digital tax filing and audit processes in Germany
