We are looking for a Middle Node.js Engineer in Buenos Aires, Argentina


What you will do


  • Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js, ensuring they are scalable, robust, and user-friendly;

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability;

  • Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code and ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications;

  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure they are functioning correctly;

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our products and development processes.


Must haves 


  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Backend or Fullstack engineer with a strong portfolio of web applications;

  • Proficiency in Node.js, with a deep understanding of their core principles and best practices;

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services;

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team;

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders;

  • Upper-intermediate English level.



Nice to haves


  • Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries such as Vue.js and React.js;

  • Experience with Typescript;

  • Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is preferred;

  • Experience with AWS services, particularly those relevant to web development and deployment;

  • Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing;

  • Background in financial services or industry-specific knowledge related to Bloomberg Industry Group’s focus areas.

Requirements
